The interior is finished with traditional Kalai (tin coating), creating a protective food-contact
lining between the brass body and the stored contents. Kalai is a traditional Indian tin-lining
technique used on brass and copper vessels.
Designed primarily for ghee storage and serving, the compact pot keeps your daily-use ghee
conveniently accessible while adding a beautiful traditional touch to your kitchen.
Whether placed beside freshly prepared rotis, used during everyday meals or displayed as
part of a traditional dining setup, the NYRA® Brass Ghee Pot brings together heritage

Care Instructions

● Hand wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
● Do not use steel wool, metal scrubbers or abrasive cleaning pads.
● Avoid harsh chemical cleaners on the Kalai-lined interior.
● Do not aggressively scrub the silver-coloured inner surface.
● Rinse thoroughly after washing.
● Dry completely with a soft cloth before storage.
● Keep the interior dry when not in use.
● The outer brass may naturally develop a deeper patina over time.
● For restoring the exterior shine, use a brass-safe polishing method.
● If the Kalai lining becomes significantly worn or the brass underneath becomes
visible, have the product professionally re-tinned before continued food-contact use.
