How to Make Kadrai Paneer

Kadai Paneer is a popular Indian dish made with paneer (cottage cheese) and a blend of spices. Here is a detailed recipe to make Kadai Paneer:
Ingredients:
- 250g paneer, cut into cubes
- 2 medium sized onions, chopped
- 2 medium sized tomatoes, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a kadai (wok) over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and wait until they start to crackle.
- Add chopped onions and fry until they are golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for another minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add green bell pepper, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and turmeric powder. Stir well to mix.
- Add salt to taste and stir again.
- Add paneer cubes to the mixture and stir gently to coat with the spices.
- Add 2 tbsp heavy cream and stir.
- Let the mixture cook for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well blended with the paneer.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
To cook Kadai Paneer, the following utensils are usually used:
- A wok or kadhai (a deep, round-bottomed cooking pan) for stir-frying the ingredients.
- A chopping board and knife for chopping onions, tomatoes, and green bell pepper.
- A spatula for stirring and tossing the ingredients in the wok.
- A bowl for mixing the spices.
- A measuring spoon for measuring the spices.
- A ladle for adding the heavy cream to the mixture.
